Sharing your diagrams

StitchPress lets you share your diagrams so other people can view your work without needing an account of their own. You can share with a link that anyone can open, or invite specific people by email. Sharing is available for crochet and knit diagrams.

  1. Go to Your workspace and find the diagram you want to share.
  2. Open the diagram’s actions menu (the menu on its card) and choose Share.
  3. In the Share dialog, under Link, select Create link.

Once the link is active, StitchPress shows the message “Anyone with the link can view” along with the link itself. Select Copy link to copy it, then paste it into a message, email, or anywhere else you like. Anyone who opens the link sees your diagram — they do not need a StitchPress account.

If you would rather share with named people instead of anyone-with-the-link, use the People section of the same dialog. Type someone’s email address and select Invite. If they do not have a StitchPress account yet, they are marked Pending and get access as soon as they sign in with that email address.

People you share with open the diagram in a read-only view. They can look at your chart and explore it — pan, zoom, and inspect the stitches — but they cannot change it, and their view never affects your original.

By default, viewers can only look. If you turn on Viewers can save a copy in the Share dialog, signed-in viewers also get the option to Save a copy — this drops their own editable copy into their workspace, leaving your original untouched. Viewers who are not signed in are prompted to sign in before they can save a copy.

For more on the read-only view that people see, see Viewing and sharing in the Crochet Editor manual.

You stay in control of a shared diagram from the same Share dialog:

  • Turn off deactivates the link. Existing links stop working, and the diagram is no longer viewable through them.
  • Reset link replaces the current link with a fresh one. The old link stops working immediately — useful if a link was shared more widely than you intended.
  • To remove an individual person you invited, select the remove () button next to their name in the People list.
